Problems with Epoz
Please email us if you feel unsure about whether you are experiencing problems due to Epoz.
Epoz is a content editor which allows you to edit material in much the same way as you would edit material on your own hard drive using a word processor such as WORD. If you want to know more about using it go to Using Your Folder 3 (EPOZ)
Unfortunately EPOZ will not work with some older web browsers.
If you are using Internet Explorer you need to be using version 5.5 (or highetr)
If you are using Mozilla you need version 1.3.1 or higher.
If you are using Netscape you need version 7.1, or higher.
If you are using Firebird you need version 0.7 or higher.
You can find out which browser version you are using by looking clicking on the "Help" menu and then selecting "About" on the tool bar of your browser.
visual example for Internet Explorer:
If the browser you are using is too old you can either upgrade it (email us if you'd like some info about how to do this) or switch it off and format any material you add to the site (including forum contributions) using "structured text" or HTML. More information on using structured text is provided in "Using Structured Text:(No link yet).
How to switch off EPOZ
1. First login to the site and then go to the blue bar at the top of any page on LastSuperpower and click on My Preferences:
2. Next, click on Personal Preferences:
3. Now scroll down , click on 'EPOZ' and select 'NONE' from the drop-down menu that will appear. Finally, click on
at the very bottom of the page. Visual example:
Don't worry about the other options on the Personal Preferences page at this stage. . [However if you really want to know more about "My Preferences" you can find the information on the following pages.]
(these pages not done yet)
You can find information about how to format material without using EPOZ by reading our information on using Structured Text.
(not done yet but in the meantime, here is an off-site link: Using Structured Text )
If you are not using EPOZ the edit form will look a bit different. In particular you will notice that just above the "save" button ) you will have the opportunity to choose between, HTML, Plain Text and Structured Text.
We recomend that you choose Structured Text.
