Using your own folder to contribute to the site

Document Actions

Every member of LastSuperpower  has their own folder (workspace) where he/she can create a homepage, store material, write documents and so on.

When you login to the site you will notice that there are some changes to the blue bar at the top of the page:

Clicking on  "my folder" will take you to your  own  folder/workspace   This is what you will see:

Note that the contents tab (top left) is green. Thsi is because you are viewing the contents of your folder (what's 'inside' it). If you click on the view tab  you will  see the 'cover' or home page of your folder:

You can edit your home page by clicking on the Edit tab.

Here we'll look at how to add a document to your folder.

You can add a document to your folder by clicking on    and then choosing document from the drop-down menu which will appear:

Clicking on document will bring up an edit form in which you can type (or paste ) the document that you want to put in your folder.   (ignore the other options in the drop-down menu for now )

This is a sample of the document edit form with some of the fields filled in:

After you've clicked on   , the edit form will disappear and (after a few seconds, sometimes longer)  you'll see your document as it will appear to anyone who looks at it.

Because it is your document  you will see a number of tabs at the top of it  (others will not be able to see these).  The most important one for you to know about at this stage is the edit  tab. If you are unsatisfied with the appearance of your document you can click on this in order to access the edit form and continue working on your document.

Once you are satisfied with your document you may want to submit it for publication on the site. This is explained further below.

FORMATTING

You can use the green Epoz icons which appear at the top of the "Body Text" field to format your document.  To find out more about using EPOZ  click here
